Certificate in Digital Promotions
ISP Certificate in Digital Promotions"This course is a timely new addition to the industry's toolkit for staying out of trouble and making sure that our clients' reputations are safeguarded. The ISP has a long and successful track record in education and I am happy to endorse this new endeavour."
Guy Phillipson, Chief Executive, Internet Advertising Bureau How can we give our digital people a good thorough grounding in promotions?
Are we really up to speed with the legal and code restrictions on digital promotions?
What's the difference between a Free Draw and an Instant Win?
Why do we need terms and conditions for online promotions?
If you need answers to any of these questions the ISP Certificate in Digital Promotions is what you are looking for. Digital Platforms are ideal communication routes for promotions â" and promotions are increasingly providing websites with content to keep visitors involved and coming back. This course is designed for those that are involved in the construction of digital content but who lack a classical training in marketing or promotions and are unaware of the legal, code and best practice principles that will keep them out of trouble. The increasing level of consumer complaints received by the ISP about digital promotions seems to indicate a need for better promotional understanding and this course is the answer. The ISP has drawn together a panel of experts from the industry to design and construct this course. This is the industry training itself. The ISP Certificate in Digital Promotions is a course and qualification that takes the form of a distance-learning programme with a series of on-line questions and a case study to be completed over a six-month period. Candidates will study in the office or at home, but at their own pace, utilising the study tools and resources provided. The aim of the course
The course is intended to deliver a good broad understanding of how digital promotions work and how they can be put together using the industry standard best practices. The course will explain how to avoid legal and compliance pitfalls and how to maximize the effectiveness of digitally based promotional activity. Who is the course designed for
The course will be appropriate for anyone involved in specialist digital and mobile agencies as well as people within other marketing agencies who specialise in digital development and execution. It is not an alternative to the ISP Diploma in Promotional & Interactive Marketing which gives account handlers a more in depth and detailed introduction to devising, developing and running promotions in general. The format of the course
Candidates will be required to:
Read the course modules in the Study Notes and then take a series of online tests to gauge their assimilation of the content. Candidate must complete and pass each module test to complete the course.
Analyse a number of case studies. Candidates will be provided with a number of digital case studies and required to answer specific questions about their structure and construction. This section will require the candidates to apply their learnings from the study notes in a relevant and in depth context.
The course can be completed at the candidates own pace so long as all elements (the module tests and case study analysis) are completed and submitted by 30th September 2009.
The course will result in the awarding of a formal accreditation of either a Pass, Credit or Distinction. The Workshop Day â" 13th May 2009
This is an optional extra to the course and will be an opportunity for candidates to meet and network with other candidates and to be involved in a number of sessions on each of the main subjects covered by the course. Candidates do not have to attend the workshop to pass the Certificate.
The Workshop will help candidates get deep under the skin of the course in the first few weeks of studying and discuss with tutors any issues or queries they may have. It should also increase their confidence and maximise the extent to which they make the most of the course. Those attending workshops for other ISP Certificates have found them extremely valuable.
The Workshop will take place at The IPA in Belgrave Square, London SW1 from 10am to 5pm, on 13th May 2009. The Study Notes
